Adsense Blog Reviews
So, i don’t know if you are like me, but I got a bad habit. I got to be constantly checking things. I got to check my Google Adsense, my Analytics, my HubPages ranks, my Squidoo lenses and my Statcounter. I try to tell myself to stop, to leave these things alone, but ...Read the Rest

Adsense Blog Reviews

So, i don’t know if you are like me, but I got a bad habit. I got to be constantly checking things. I got to check my Google Adsense, my Analytics, my HubPages ranks, my Squidoo lenses and my Statcounter. I try to tell myself to stop, to leave these things alone, but I always have to know.

The same hold true for my Google ranking for my sites.

That’s where PageRanker for Firefox comes in handy. You can get the download at tools.seobooks.com.

If you don’t use Firefox for some of your Adsense blog work, then I suggest downloading the search engine. Besides having a built-in spell checker and other features, you can download two of the most useful SEO tools like Rank Checker and SEO for Firefox.

Before I started using Rank Checker, I used to manually go through Google and look for my Adsense blog sites. If you own multiple sites, this can be a tiring and exhaustive search. With Rank Checker, it solves this problem by searching for targeted keywords related to your websites.

All you have to do is put in your URL and list a bunch of keywords you are tracking. Rank Checker can not only check Google and their other sites like Google UK, but it also tracks Yahoo and whatever other search engine you put in the options.

What is great is you can then save your search and try it again at anytime without having to reenter any information. You can also constantly add to your lists and track multiple websites.

Rank Checker can also be used to check the competitiveness of keywords on sites like HubPages and Squidoo by just typing in the URL of the site and the keywords you are targeting. Rank Checker will then list the highest available site in ranking for that keyword if one is ranking. This is a great way to see if any new keyword that you are trying to make a hub or lens for has any competition and if you are able to beat its ranking.

So, if you are like me and waste a lot of time worrying about your numbers, Rank Checker helps eliminate some of that waste, but in the end, only you can stop checking your numbers on your Adsense blogs to see if you are truly making money online.

So, all this started one day when I got the idea to make a site about the swine flu. After doing some research, then discovering Court’s School, I realized that this might not be a great keyword to buy when just starting out. First, all the good domains had already been scooped up. Secondly, if people didn’t start dying by the bucket loads, then this site would be dead within a few months.

That is the problem with fresh keywords. If you stumble upon a keyword that is so new that Google Adsense information has not been determined, you must decide if it is worth the risk in building up this site.

The advantages to getting these Adsense blog sites is that you will have the top keyword positions and probably will hold that position forever especially if static pages haven’t even been built yet. If most of the top links come from news articles and no pages with authority, then you might have a gold mine down the line. But if that keyword does not get popular, then you have a dead website with no traffic.

That is the big disadvantage to using fresh keywords. There is no way of knowing if that keyword will ever payoff. It is the biggest risk with the chance for the best potential in the long run.

If you do find a fresh keyword that does have a decent CPC of at least a dollar with no competition, but still very little traffic, this might be a great site to own if, and only if, the related keywords have a high traffic value because as your new site is building off the fresh keyword, you are going to start getting a lot of traffic off those other keywords, especially if it is a long tail keyword that pays money.

For example, let’s say your keyword is “octopus eyeballs cancer cure” and it is generating a 2 dollar CPC because some scientist has determined that they cure cancer and there is a lot of buzz about them but nobody has a website on them. You notice that there is a lot of traffic for octopus, cancer and cancer cures. With proper SEO work, you could get the traffic for these other keywords while you wait for the buzz to build over you new Adsense blog on Octopus Eyeballs Cancer Cures.

You must do your research before giving these fresh keywords a try. Also, if you can’t get direct domains with your keywords then I wouldn’t advice buying into them.

Alright, so I watched all the videos, read a few of the articles, and now I decide to give Court’s plan a try. I start brainstorming ideas. The first one I get to make an Adsense blog is about the swine flu pandemic that is going around. I figure there is got to be ton of traffic heading in that direction.

So swine flu is the first search I did for a keyword. Now, I go to the Google Adwords Keywords Tool, adjust the show/hide menus so that I can see all the money I am going to make with the swine flu. Well, I come to find out that I am not going to make jack-diddley because swine flu is too new of a keyword to generate any results as a blog with Adsense. Sure, I believe people are searching for it. Hell, I punched in a few URL’s and there are several sites already getting on the bandwagon. I’m sure if I was a professional at Adsense blogs I could make a fortune with the damn swine flu. But I’m not taking my chances.

Swine flu probably fits the first rule that Court mentions in his Crash Course Manual. But, it doesn’t satisfy the other two rules which are the keyword has to be able to rank and peeps need to find the damn thing valuable.

Ain’t no sense of a million people coming to your site on nose picking, if nobodies buying ya boogers.

So now my goal is to find some keywords that people are searching for, that can be ranked, and that have value.

So I start generating my list, start plugging them into an Excel sheet, start running the Potential Formula for Adsense in blog post from the manual on them. I find out that if I can get a site on laptops, I’ll make 88,ooo dollars a month.

Sweet.

So, I come down to earth when I install the SEO-for-Firefox plug-in and find out there is no way in Hell that I’m ever gonna place against the competition for laptops.

So, I go through my list and start turning all my special keywords red. Occasionally, I find one I want to make green, but I think I’m actually pushing it. Then my girlfriend’s sister’s boyfriend comes into the back house where I hide with my computer and he starts going on about his dam dog and how wonderful it is and how he likes to watch mixed martial arts….blah….blah…blah.

Wait. Dogs and People Beating Each Other Up.

These are some great keywords. Now, he keeps rambling on and filling me with a plethora of keywords.

Hmm, I wonder if people are searching for plethora.

Anyways, pretty soon I have over 400 hundred keywords to begin to look at for potential Adsense blog sites. After just a few hours, I nailed down a few keywords that did not look to hard to page rank in and that can generate at least a hundred dollars a month in potential income.

Not much, but it’s a start.

Now, onto my next step: Buying a domain.

But before I could spend diaper money on domains for my new pla of making money with Google Adsense blogs, I needed to make sure I had enough diapers. So, I had to shut off my computer and head out to Target and wait until the next day to get rich.
