Week One In the Adsense Blog World

adsense-blog

So my first week went by quickly. I watched all the tutorials, bought several domains, and started posting content. So after spending some time with my girlfriend and my son, some time decompressing from spending sixteen hour days on the computer, it was time to get back into my Adsense blogs and to learn how to make money writing online.

Part of Court’s teachings is that you start to submit articles to Ezineartilces.com and eventually to HubPages.  Well, these two sites can be extremely helpful to building links, but each is completely different in the way they operate.

First, though, you want to make sure you are submitting original content to these sites.  I made a mistake of submitting duplicate content and it ended up costing me a big headache in the long run. For one, it affects your rating on HubPages and secondly, it slows down your articles from being posted at Ezine. Also, don’t use an article spinner. It is best to write new articles for these sites or you will just be wasting your time.

Now, with Ezine you will be getting some solid links with a decent amount of traffic to your Adsense blog. But if you want to post there and not buy premium membership and want to see your posts up by Friday, make sure you submit your articles earlier in the week. Ezine reviews every article before it is accepted, which can take a few days, not counting weekends. If you plan on using this website to help with your Adsense blogging, I would make sure you have the patience to deal with them

Now, over on HubPages, your articles go up immediately and you can earn money from their Google Adsense, but this site has a popularity style of posting and you have to keep your pages in the high ranks or they shut off your links. I have yet to earn a penny from them.

The other thing I am focusing on is exchanging links. This is a very important step in building up your Adsense blog sites. Now, most people seem to have trouble getting links, but I have had at least a 50% success rate in trying to get these contacts. Well, for one, I used Grizzly’s niche support and Keyword Academy instead of asking random people on the internet. I don’t see a point in sending out a bunch of emails to people that might not be in the same making money online business. Who knows if they are ever going to respond?

At least with niche support, even those that don’t want to help at least send me an email in acknowledgement. If you are trying to build links, then you should stick to your own kind.

My First Dip In The Adsense Blog Sandbox

adsense-sand-box

So I get this really great idea for a website based on some jinky things I know about a former employer. I go snooping into using his name as a keyword search and I come back with internet gold as the keyword is worth over ten bucks a click. So, I go and get in my Adsense blog mode, ready to rip and run while listening to Eminem’s new album. I start searching for domain names, get my site hosted, run my super dopalicious Fantastico Deluxe and then get through my configurations. Within an hour, I got a new site and ready for some content.

Well, I got the front end of this making money with Adsense business down. I can get a new website up in a day with basic content, ready to hit the road running on all cylinders. So, this new Adsense blog now becomes my main focus since I have some deep arcane knowledge about this subject. So, I’m slinging content like Mc Donald’s slings Mc Nuggets, blasting my site with some nice stuff. Then, I start throwing some articles to Ezine, start jumping on some trade secrets over at KWA, and start getting some decent links going. Within a couple of days, my site has quickly jumped into the top ten on Google and I started pouring more time into the website.

Now, I’m not using any jinky methods of link building but putting in some serious hours at building some of my sites. Well, I guess Google doesn’t quite understand the difference between my hard work and others who buy links.

I wake up today and my new blog site has disappeared from the top ten. It’s not even in the top hundred. It has completely disappeared from that keyword listing. I thought it was a mistake. I kept checking back, but it is not there. So, I heard all this talk about getting sandboxed and looked into it.

Well, I think my site is now sitting in some kitty litter waiting for a nice friendly pooper scooper to put it back in Google. I should have stuck with the teachings of Court and let the site marinate for a minute. But I got too excited for my new Adsense Blog site and wanted it to prosper quickly. Now, its flat lining and I hope someday to resuscitate before I have to pull life support.

But it taught me a valuable lesson. I need to slow down on my link building and let my site get some age and wisdom.

I sure know I need some.

The Butterfly Marketing Manuscript

adsense-blogging-2

So, I do a lot of surfing looking for more ways to make money online other than through Adsense blogs or I am looking for ways to piggy back what I have already learned.

When I do come across something that interests me, I have two philosophies. The first is I am not going to pay for information unless I can find it free somewhere else.  Second, I am just not going to pay for anything period.

Well, I will shell out a couple of dollars if I think it might have value. And I do mean only a couple of dollars.

I only paid one dollar to Court for his Keyword Academy program. I know that it will now cost me another 33 bucks a month to continue to receive Adsense blogging content, but I know the value of what I am paying for and it is well worth the expense.

I also only shelled out ten bucks to look into Project Payday and that was to buy a domain I was going to buy anyway.

The point is I am not going to fall for high end get rich schemes that want a big payoff no matter how many Google Adsense checks they show me.

The main reason for this is that no matter how successful they may have become, that does not translate into how successful I will become. I think this is an important fact that people should consider when trying to get into the business of making money online.

Sure, people make money. But are you? Is what they pitching going to work for you?

Just like screenplays sell for millions of dollars, and thousands of people write crappy screenplays that never sell, there are online systems o f making money that only work for certain people.

So, as I stated, I was online, looking for more good info on Adsense blogging and I came across The Butterfly Marketing Manuscript by Mike Filsaime.

I am sure you have seen this ad all over the place about how rich he got doing this and that and how he can teach it to you for big bucks. Well, I am always skeptical about someone who makes millions of dollars already trying to get my dollars.

But I was curious. I have the bug now. I want to know all the secrets from this end.

But I wasn’t going to shell out the big bucks.

adsense-blogging-1

As I stated in the past, I have been to the seediest darkest corners of the internet, back when there was a place called Lucifer’s Top Hundred that listed some of the worst sites on the web. Some of those dark corners are gone, but I still know how to traverse the muddy waters of the internet and get what I need.

So, I stumbled across a password protected copy of the Butterfly Marketing Manuscript. Then I tripped over the password and looked inside.

I got to tell you that reading Nietzsche is easier to follow then this piece of utter nonsense. This book is full of marketing theory but never does it give you practical hands-on material.

I am a meat and potatoes person.

I want it broken down in the simplest terms.

Not because I am an idiot, but because I don’t ever want to have to ask you a question about what it is you are trying to tell me.

I never have to call the shampoo company and ask them to explain lather, rinse, and repeat.

I don’t have to get customer service to understand how to cook a TV dinner.

So, I don’t expect to shell out several hundred dollars on a product that doesn’t show me step-by-step how to make a million dollars making money online.

That’s why I ended up going with Court’s plan. Everything is broken down into simple to follow instructions and he never promised me I would be rich.

He just told me I would not be sleeping for the next six months because I would be up all night typing mini blogs and learning just what it does take to make a living with Google Adsense.

So please stay away from the Butterfly Effect unless you have money to invest and understand jinky rip-off marketing plans.

And if you do happen to bump into that copy in a dark alley, tell him, “my manuscript” to get in.

Adsense Blog Videos Part One

adsense-blog-videos

So, I’m searching around for some information on Adsense blogs and found some videos that people might want to watch that have some sort of tutorials relating to making money online, Adsense blog turorials, or just basic information about using sites like Google Adsense.

I would always suggest going over to Court’s site and watch those videos and then joining the Keyword Academy. Mark and Court have got some great things brewing over at the Keyword Academy that I am not going to give away. With the techniques I have learned from them I have already seen some serious growth in my sites. One site I created last week is already in the top ten for both its keyword and my target keyword and both keywords pay over nine dollars for their CPC.

So, I hope you enjoy these. I will post more in the future.

Adsense Blog Running The Long Con Part Two

adsense-blog-long-1

So, it’s my two week anniversary in this making money with Google Adsense game. So far I have made a dollar and thirty-five cents. I was excited when I saw the money show up in my Adsense account. I jumped up and down for joy, ran out in the street and shouted to the neighbors that I was on my way to making a million dollars. After that, I started checking my account every hour to see if the money was still rolling in. Now, it is four days later and I still only have a buck thirty-five for my Adsense blog.

What did I learn from this?

That this is a waiting game, that you have to keep building your Adsense blogs, keep building domains with the purpose of making money online, and just be patient. You got to learn to stop checking your statcounter, stop checking your Google Adsense, and just work on your long con.

In last week’s episode of Lie to Me, Dr. Lightman ran a long con on a serial rapist to get him to reveal his copy cat. That’s what I call this system of making money online. You have to be in it for the long run, you have to be willing the go the distance, and put in the leg work now. The great thing about building blogs for Adsense money is that once they are up and running, they are low maintenance. It is real easy to stack a portfolio of online real estate designed to make money online targeting Adsense and affiliate links. But it is not an overnight process. It can take months, years to make a decent income especially if you don’t have good keywords or the time to dedicate to building your websites.

Putting In the Leg Work

In the last two weeks, I have put in between ten to twenty hours a day either building or learning about Adsense blogs. The great thing is that all this work and knowledge is incremental; constantly building upon itself to create better websites designed for making money online.

One of the biggest improvements is in my keyword searches. At first, I sought out any profitable keyword that was going to have monthly CPC earnings of over fifty dollars. While these keywords are good to have, you must also think about what type of person is going to visit your page.

For example, an Adsense blog on kittens might pay you fifty bucks a month, but are the people searching for kittens really going to spend any real money on any ads targeting kittens. Sure, they might buy flea collars and kitty litter or they might just be cat lovers who like to search the internet for kitty information.

But let’s say you have developed an Adsense blog for plastic surgery. Well, the people who visit these sites are willing to spend real money on cosmetic enhancements. Also, they might have weight loss issues, might need herbal supplements, and there is a good chance they will click on your Google Adsense ads and your affiliates, which in turn will make you real money.

So when researching your keywords, think about what people are really spending money on, not just what people are searching for online. Build two or three Adsense blogs on similar subjects and provide anchor links and blogroll links between these sites to help boost their authority.

Your Adsense blog websites are like a good wine. You have to let them ripen and mature. The keys to a good site is to not only find a niche and place five articles, build some links and forget about it, but to build up these sites. Let’s say you own twenty sites designed to make money online targeting Google Adsense and have followed Court and Mark’s advice, have developed links through Griz’s niche support site, and you are making a grand a month.

Sounds really good.

So you go on building new Adsense blog sites while forgetting about your old ones. What is going to happen is that others are going to come along and knock you out of your keywords because you are not maintaining your sites.

Take this site, Adsense Blog For Beginners for instance. I know that there is some competition for this specific keyword search. It is not like there are any real legacy sites with information on making money online, but just a bunch of Adsense bloggers. Well, since the site went live, it now ranks number one and two for the keyword Adsense Blog For Beginners and is in the top fifty for Adsense blog and one of the reasons is that people became happy with just the write five article/build up some links mentality. You got to keep building up your sites adding more links, more content, gaining more authority.

You can’t just let your Adsense blog sites stew in their own juices, but let them marinate for the best taste.

adsense-blog-long-2

Running The Long Con with Your Adsense blog Sites

You got to build up your anchor links on your Adsense blog and not just your blogroll. One way to do that is request a trade for textual anchors in another person’s blog site. Requesting links for blogs is not as hard as some think. It is good to find those in the same game of making money online to trade links then just regular blog sites. While some of the latter sites might have decent page ranking, the problem is you might have to send out a couple hundred emails just to get one or two links. Most of those who are trying to build up their Adsense blogs are friendly and considerate people especially Court. Out of the last twenty emails I sent to Adsense bloggers, almost all replied and more than half of them agreed to a link exchange.

Another way to build up links is to send some juice back to your other sites from your main Adsense blog site. If you build up your MMO site, then it is relatively easy to add anchor links in an article.

So, let’s say inside one of my posts I start talking about the difference between drug detox and drug rehab. Or I decide to discuss different companies who offer LSAT test prep. Maybe, I know some things about liposuction and feel like talking about these things in my blog.

I also can go into depth about dogs. I could talk about dog breeds that are the best for guard dog training. I could mention what are the best breeds to have as puppies, or even offer advice about dog training.

The point is that in those last couple of paragraphs I provided a little juice to my own Adsense blog sites. This is one way to help build that maturity and authority that is most vital in making money with Adsense.

Look, there is a lot of advice out there on making money online, but it really comes down to doing your homework, doing the leg work, and investing time to make sure your sites get ranked. It is not an overnight get rich plan, but instead a way to gain financial freedom from a steady income.

If you have made it this far in this article and want to request an anchor link to any unused keywords above, just list the anchor text and your Urls in the comments below. I will delete each comment after I have put in your link. Just include me in somewhere in your blog site with any of the following keywords: making money online, Adsense blog, Adsense blogging, Adsense blog for beginners, or anything similar.
